Yale Day of Service - Grow Local Colorado

  • 2365 West Mexico Avenue Denver, CO, 80223 United States (map)

Come join us in celebrating the Yale Day of Service with Grow Local Colorado on Saturday morning, May 30, 2026, as we help turn a blank garden plot into a productive community food garden.

Grow Local Colorado builds and maintains vegetable gardens across the Denver area, growing fresh produce for local communities and helping connect people to food, gardening, and service. This is always one of the most satisfying volunteer projects because the group starts with an open garden space and, in just a few hours, helps bring it to life.

Yale volunteers will help with weeding, planting seedlings, and planting seeds at Grow Local Colorado’s large garden at 2365 W. Mexico Ave. in Denver. No gardening expertise is required. Just come ready to work outside, get your hands dirty, and help create something tangible.

We are looking for approximately 15 volunteers. Families are encouraged, and children are welcome if they are at least 7 years old.

Volunteers should wear long sleeves, long pants, a sun hat, and closed-toed shoes for sun and foot protection. Please bring water. Snacks will be provided.

Please RSVP here.
